Dungeon Masters

Somebody on the Facebook "Old School Gamers" Group asked about Dungeon Masters.

Should they be "All Powerful", or merely Story Tellers and Referees.

My response - The Good ones are all three, without your Players realizing the first one even matters . . . . .

Anyone else got any thoughts??

  1. Actually. That is pretty damn good answer.

  2. Thanks Tim, its the model I've always aspired to. I've always found its easier to keep control of a game if your players trust you, if you throw your weight around - they rarely do.

  3. Yeah.

I had typed a bunch of things here, but in the end I really couldn't say it any better than you already did.

Know your rules, know your players and have a good game.
